This little princess came to the studio for her 9 month old pictures to be taken this week.  She was as sweet as sugar…and as wiggly as an earthworm!  :o)  She absolutely loved her bear to death so it is only fitting that one of the Sneak Peeks be of little Miss “S” and her bear!

The last two weeks have been very busy!  We got back from our family vacation to Hatteras, N.C.  Then, my kids’ birthdays were this past weekend.  In between sessions and editing, I peeked at some of my vacation images.  I have quite a few favorite images but this has to be one of the top five!  My dear friend joined us for a few days and her girls and my kids played themselves silly each and every day at the beach.  It was at the end of one of these days that we all took a walk to the end of our rental home’s private board walk to watch the sunset over the sound.  I snapped a few of all of the kids sitting and chatting and then some of just my friend’s two girls.  I love the way this one turned out…no need for words…just sisters enjoying the end of a long Summer day.

This little guy was the happiest baby boy!  He had such an infectious smile that made me laugh.  How blessed I am to work with and photograph such beautiful children!

His mom brought him to the studio from Manassas, Va to have his baby pictures taken.  His mom’s nick name for him is “chunky monkey man” and you can see why!  At just 5 mos old he filled up the cup!  :o)  But he loved it ’cause his favorite thing is munching on his toes!!!

Mom did not intend to be in the portraits herself but after seeing how beautiful she was, I resorted to begging!  She agreed and I am so glad she did…just look how gorgeous this new mom is!

I am busy catching up on editing since being away on vacation but I just had to post a couple “sneak peeks” for the proud family of this darling newborn girl who came to the studio from Bealeton, Va for her newborn portraits this week.  

Oh my goodness~look at this precious little angel and her beautiful mom!  I had a hard time choosing which images to share!

Look at her beautiful eyes!  So intent… 

Look at her little fishy lips in this one!

The image below just melts my heart…little Miss “A” is in a family heirloom dress and bonnet.  Her mom said this one was for grandma!  I could not resist spending the extra time to apply our Fine Art technique to this particular image…look how the details just come to life.

My family and I, as I am sure most of you did as well, celebrated the finish to our July 4th by watching fireworks.  We took the kids to Great Meadows just north of Warrenton for their annual Fourth celebration and as soon as we got there and unpacked our picnic dinner…it started to rain!  And rain it did!  The heavens opened up and it just poured!!  There we sat, huddled under our SUV’s lift-gate and umbrellas eating KFC!  Had it not been for the company of some great friends, I think we would have called it a day!  But we made the best of the situation and I am so glad we did.  After a couple hours, the rain ceased just in time for the fireworks display.

This post is for all the kids!  So, be sure to bring them to the computer and show them!

Last night at dinner we were serenaded by a couple of tree frogs “talking” to each other…for such little creatures, they sure do make a LOT of noise…ummm, reminds me of some other little creatures around my house!     Anyway, this morning when taking out the trash, I spotted one of the little guys and of course could not pass up the opportunity to take his pictures!  Just like the kids that come to the studio, I told him that we don’t say “cheese”!  And don’t you think he did a great job??  He is a good listener, just like all you children have been!  

So, without further adieu, here is Mr. Tree Frog!

How blessed I am to work with such precious little infants so fresh from God Himself!  At just 11 days old, this precious little girl came to the studio from Bealeton, Virginia, to have her newborn photos taken.   She was a pure joy to work with and I was reminded of just how “uniquely and wonderfully made” we truly are.  So here are just a couple sneak peeks of my very favorite images from her session.
