What a beautiful little baby bump this young lady has! She was literally aglow with her pregnancy! And, bless her heart, she drove all the way from Midlothian, Virginia which is southwest of the Virginia state capital of Richmond! But we are sooo glad she did…she was just a dream to work with and super sweet. She had her heart set on a few specific poses…in particular, what we like to call the “bow bump” pose…and then we really had fun wrapping her baby bump to show off her beautiful, pregnant curves.

I know she is dying to see her sneak peek…so here it is!

Sigh…what a bundle of sweetness this newborn baby boy is! Is he not simply beautiful?? After just a few minutes of awake time, this little sweetie drifted off to newborn dreamland and remained asleep for the remainder of the session - we could not have asked for a more sleepy baby! In watching his parents, it is very apparent just how much this baby is adored by his doting new parents…what a privilege it is to be a part of such a special time in their lives. What a blessing to me!

Meet Owen. Such a sweet, sweet boy! And he had the cutest rows of wrinkles on his forehead when he made eye contact with you. Mom and grandma joked that he looks like a little old man when he wrinkles his brow! lol. Oh, and check out his little smile…doesn’t it make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside?? Sure does me!

Just look a this sweet, sweet boy! We are so honored that this family drove all the way from Roanoke, Virginia for one of our special newborn photography sessions. We were very excited to try out our new Coca Cola wagon prop that has been waiting for just the right little model. As soon as I saw him, I knew this little man was the perfect size…he fit it perfectly and literally just snoozed the time away. Enjoy!

Oh, and please feel free to leave the parents some baby love…we all love hearing just how precious our babies are!!

Welcome, new born baby brother! Meet baby boy #2 for this sweet Culpeper, Virginia family. He reminds me quite a bit of his big brother who was here almost two years ago – same gorgeous hair, absolutely yummy skin and gorgeous long lashes - except little brother didn’t give us much wake time at all, which was very unlike his big brother!

Doesn’t this first portrait make you wonder just want he is dreaming about? It must have been really good, long dream because he smiled off and on the entire session! He’s going to melt his parents’ hearts for sure! He most certainly did ours…

I am working on a session for a family from Quantico, VA and this portrait just made me smile. So, I thought maybe someone else could use a little smile today too! Baby Aiden’s mommy actually made this adorable little lion hat and matching cover (with a tail!) for him. Dad even assisted with attaching the mane so it was a family affair. It turned out soooo darned cute…I be doing my best to talk mom and dad into making one for our studio!

Just look at this new little baby boy sleeping like a log on a log! Last week, this mom and dad from Quantico, Virginia commissioned us to create this very special portrait. Now, I must confide that operating a chain saw is not even remotely on my bucket list – never has been, never will be. That being said, I knew just the man to help me find what I envisioned in my head…my dad. So, dad and I traipsed through the woods looking for the perfect log and after saying “no” to many, many a fallen tree, we found this awesome one. As soon as I saw it, with all it’s gnarly bark, rich green moss and super cool lichens, I knew it would make the perfect log for this special set!

This beautiful bundle from Reston, Va was sooooo yummy. His head so soft. His cheeks so chubby. His toes so sweet. He truly was Pure Newborn Goodness. It was very evident that his mommy and daddy are captivated by him…as well they should be.

This little man’s family has served our country so incorporating the Stars & Stripes was a special request. We have more to share later but for now, this was one of my favorites with Old Glory.

Can you say gorgeous?? I know, right? What an amazingly beautiful expectant mother. She and her husband, from Fairfax, Virginia are due in April. At 7 1/2 months pregnant, she is at the perfect stage to have maternity portrait art created. We had loads of fun during their maternity session choosing the right colors for her complexion. Good heavens, she looks GORGEOUS in this purple drape. Be sure to leave this expecting couple a comment or two!

Northern VA Newborn Photographer ~ { Biggest Littlest NY Giants Fan!}

With the Super Bowl XLVI almost here, I remembered we have a past client that is a huge NY Giants fan. One of his “must have” portraits was of his brand new baby boy resting on a commemorative NY Giants Superbowl Champions football.
