I have been waiting for just the right baby bump to do this color combination with and this expecting mom was perfect! We’ve been so busy this month…haven’t had time to blog everything…but this couple really wanted a quick sneak peek of their maternity session before they return for the second half of their Bump & Baby session.
I must say, we really enjoyed meeting this sweet couple from Charlottesville, VA this week. They were so sweet together and what a cute little baby bump mom has! I swear, once baby comes, she’ll be right back to her pre-pregnancy weight in no time…I could have only wished, right??

What a beautiful little baby bump this young lady has! She was literally aglow with her pregnancy! And, bless her heart, she drove all the way from Midlothian, Virginia which is southwest of the Virginia state capital of Richmond! But we are sooo glad she did…she was just a dream to work with and super sweet. She had her heart set on a few specific poses…in particular, what we like to call the “bow bump” pose…cute, cute!

Sweet, Gorgeous “Mama To Be”!
Can you say gorgeous?? I know, right? What an amazingly beautiful expectant mother. She and her husband, from Fairfax, Virginia are due in April. At 7 1/2 months pregnant, she is at the perfect stage to have maternity portrait art created. We had loads of fun during their maternity session choosing the right colors for her complexion. Good heavens, she looks GORGEOUS in this purple drape. Be sure to leave this expecting couple a comment or two!

What a lovely, lovely couple. I am so blessed to be able to photograph some of the nicest couples during their special time of anticipation. And, here recently, so many of our maternity portrait clients have been coming from the Ashburn / Dulles area… must be something in the water over there!
This couple from Brambleton, VA was no exception… both are super excited about their expected little one. Dad remarked that he was not fond of being in front of the camera but honestly, the camera loves him! Just look at the image below…dad is just awesome! Mom was just gorgeous and a joy to work with too. She was such a cute little thing ~ I wish I looked that awesome at 7 months pregnant.

What a gorgeous Mama! Lovely images!
Beautiful mama I love the second pic. I was always conflicted about taking professional maternity pics because I’m a somewhat conservative person and I just wouldn’t be so bold as to take some of the pics I had seen when this phenomenon first appeared. The idea of showing my belly petrified me. But seeing these elegant mamas, especially this last one. I am definitely going to consider this for my second pregnancy.
Where did you find the alphabet blocks? I am looking all over trying to find cute ones??
Crystal ~ these were a gift to my son for his first birthday back in 1999 so I have absolutely no clue where to tell you they came from! Good luck searching for some similar ones!!
