What a darling little princess we had here at the studio last week…SUCH a cutie patootie!! She was full of energy and kept us laughing (and panting!) the entire session. I am convinced that her smiles and giggles brighten her momma’s day…she sure did ours!

What a perfect little baby boy! He surprised his family by arrived two weeks early…gotta love that sort of surprise, right? Throughout the entire session, he reminded me quite a bit of his big sister (see her here) when she was here for her newborn session. This little guy slept pretty much the entire time which was of course pure delight for Mary and I. At the end though, he let us know just who was in charge…a well aimed stream of liquid put us in our place! LOL! You’d never know though by the beautiful portraits below…he was delightful!

This is baby Chloe’s First Birthday session…isn’t she beautiful? Her pretty blue eyes and rosey lips tell me that she is going to grow up to be a beautiful little girl. Her mom was supposed to come this morning to pick up all her beautiful artwork but came down with strep….poor thing! I hope seeing daughter’s First Birthday slideshow gives her day a bright spot!

We have had the complete pleasure of creating portrait art of this little girls big sister and working with little Gretel has been exactly the same…a total joy! Here are mom & dad’s favorite portraits from their youngest princess’ session here at the studio. Gretel came in just past her first birthday…a big milestone for a little girlie! We created a storyboard for them…you’ll see it at the end of the slideshow. These are a very popular with many of our clients and are a great way to showcase 3-4 of your favorite images in one product.

Did you know that the odds of having identical twins is approximately 3 in 1000?? What a lucky mom and dad this couple are. I promised them another sneak peek of their newborn twins upon my return from being out of town for a long weekend. So, here they are again…so delicate and sweet and awe inspiring.

Welcome, new born baby brother! Meet baby boy #2 for this sweet Culpeper, Virginia family. He reminds me quite a bit of his big brother who was here almost two years ago – same gorgeous hair, absolutely yummy skin and gorgeous long lashes - except little brother didn’t give us much wake time at all, which was very unlike his big brother!
Doesn’t this first portrait make you wonder just want he is dreaming about? It must have been really good, long dream because he smiled off and on the entire session! He’s going to melt his parents’ hearts for sure! He most certainly did ours…

LOVELY! Every time I see this I find myself smiling.
Just look at this new little baby boy sleeping like a log on a log! Last week, this mom and dad from Quantico, Virginia commissioned us to create this very special portrait. Now, I must confide that operating a chain saw is not even remotely on my bucket list – never has been, never will be. That being said, I knew just the man to help me find what I envisioned in my head…my dad. So, dad and I traipsed through the woods looking for the perfect log and after saying “no” to many, many a fallen tree, we found this awesome one. As soon as I saw it, with all it’s gnarly bark, rich green moss and super cool lichens, I knew it would make the perfect log for this special set!

Being a fellow photographer, I must say this is one of the most creative portraits I have ever seen!!!! Adorable and very creative!
This beautiful bundle from Reston, Va was sooooo yummy. His head so soft. His cheeks so chubby. His toes so sweet. He truly was Pure Newborn Goodness. It was very evident that his mommy and daddy are captivated by him…as well they should be.
This little man’s family has served our country so incorporating the Stars & Stripes was a special request. We have more to share later but for now, this was one of my favorites with Old Glory.

This first time mom and dad drove all the way from Accokeek, Maryland which is all the way over in Prince Georges County. And, we could not have been more delighted and honored to have them come.
