This handsome little sailor from Woodbridge Virginia was here just over 6 months ago and last week he came back for his 1st birthday portraits. I love watching “my” babies grow! This baby boy has the most amazing eye color and the loveliest lashes. Why is it that the little boys almost always have the longest eye lashes?
Mom & grandmom brought the cutest little linen sailor outfit and it just suited his skin tones perfectly. Hope his family enjoys this sneak peek of their adored little birthday boy.
This sweet baby girl came all the way from Fairfax Station Virginia for her first birthday portraits! She was not terribly thrilled to smash the cake but with a little encouragement, she ventured into the yummy icing. Ha, that’s a girl after my own heart!

A lovely mom from Alexandria Virginia brought her adorable baby girl in this week to celebrate her first birthday with some “baby’s 1st birthday portraits.” Before we got into the “smash the birthday cake” shots we caught just a few images of her in her girlie finerie. Precious little lips, rosey cheeks and beautiful eyes – she is picture perfect! But Oh Baby – she really enjoyed the second part when she got to eat the icing on the cake!
I remember when my daughter was this age and now she is getting ready to turn ten! Time flies so quickly…what better way to remember this milestone than with a few portraits like this?
What a fun time I had with this precious little girl and her mom yesterday! She is turning one next week and mom wanted to be sure to have portraits of this special event. Little Miss “I” was such a happy little girlie! She has the most amazing dark brown eyes as you can see in the first image. Her little lashes are just to die for!!
The adorable dress was purchased at a wonderful baby and children’s boutique right here in Warrenton! They have such a mix of wonderful things for children ~ from birth on up! If you have not visited Old Town Warrenton lately you simply must check it out.

This little darling came back to the studio for her first birthday portraits this past week and I cannot believe how much she has changed since we created her newborn portraits! She was scrumptuous then but OH MY, she is just totally adorable now and busy, busy, busy too! We had the best time. Here are a couple sneak peeks for her doting mom, dad and grandparents!

This little guy was just the cutest little thing! His mom brought him all the way from Montgomery Village, MD, to have his First Birthday photos taken. He has gorgeous big brown eyes, the most adorable little smile and was as friendly as could be…that is, as long as his mommy was close by! He was already walking in that cute wobbly toddler way even though he will only just be turning one year old this week! So, here is a sneak peek for Samuel’s daddy, mommy, family and friends!

Oh my goodness, this little girl from Gainesville, Virginia was just precious to work with. She had the cutest little grin! She is turning one on the 12th so her mom and dad brought her in to the studio for her First Birthday photos.
We did a variety of studio portraits, from sweet to messy! She very much enjoyed the last part of the session which was eating her 1st birthday cake!
