A few weeks back, this little sweetie came for one of our baby sessions and if you recall, we had loads of fun! Now that her mommy & daddy have been back for the reveal, we can share more of the adorable expressions we captured…I bet she makes you smile just as much as she did me! Plus, I know her aunties, uncles and grandparents are dying to see them all too…enjoy!

Time for a slide show! This brand new mom and dad are from Alexandria, VA but they have family across the United States, as well as abroad, who are anxiously waiting to see this precious little girl.
Baby Tèa’s grandmother will recognize two very special keepsakes in the last portrait. Both the old teddy bear and the “cherry tree” blanket were her own daughter’s childhood lovies. It was our privilege to incorporate them into one of baby Tèa’s portraits…all though I don’t think she noticed as she sleep right through it all tucked down in her basket! What a sweetie! Enjoy!
It is hard to believe that Little Miss C was here just a short year ago ~ what a beautiful baby girl she is growing up to be! It leaves me scratching my head and wondering, where on earth did the last year go? We had a ton of fun and Miss C’s personality could best be described as; “HRH Cutie Pie”! She has so much energy that I know she wears her momma out by the end of each day!
So, here’s my favorite portrait from Miss C’s First Birthday Session…I love her sweet smile and her adorable piggy toes!
We really enjoyed meeting and getting to know this Arlington, Virginia family. Their new little baby was just a total love to work with. We had the absolute pleasure of this delightful baby girl’s company last week! Her mom made the drive all the way from Bethesda, Maryland to have her daughter’s first official portrait art session. What a honor for me!
Truth be told, it was so hard to put the camera down with all the adorable smiles this little princess was sharing. All that smiling must have worn her out so when she fell asleep, we took advantage of it and created a few more “newborn-like” poses. We enjoyed every moment with this delightful little sweetie. At three weeks new, this precious little girl was a bit older than our normal newborn but she was the perfect little baby - she slept nearly the entire time! Her proud mother from Alexandria Virginia, along with grandmother and grandfather accompanied her and it was such fun seeing just how much this little miracle was loved.

Like most photographers, I get an itch from time to time to try something different. Seems like this little newborn boy’s parents were just here for their maternity session – time sure does fly! Little “J” made his appearance right on time just over a week ago. Mom and Dad made the lengthy drive from Waldorf, Maryland so that I could play with their brand new blessing – believe me, the blessing was all mine!
It is always a joy to me to observe the love that new parents have for these little miracles that have been given them and this new mother and father were no different. It was clear that they are smitten with this new little human that God has entrusted to them.

This expectant couple from the Washington DC area are expecting their first child! How exciting! At 37 weeks, this mom-to-be is really in the nesting mode!
She wanted to capture this time with modest yet artfully expressive images of her pregnancy. In addition, we also set up a fun shot – see below – and darned if she wasn’t such a tiny thing that I had to ask her to “push” her bump up a bit so we could tell she was preggo! That is so not fair!

This Alexandria Virginia mom and dad were in the portrait studio just a few weeks ago for their maternity portraits. Last week they brought their precious little baby girl back for some creative newborn baby portraits. Her mother and father have been waiting a long time to hold her…she was definitely worth the wait!
Even her abuela who was visiting from Connecticut came along to enjoy the experience… we all enjoyed watching this precious little angel donning her flower hat. And the SMILES! Oh my!! This little girl was full of smiles for us!

This family from Vienna Virginia has a new baby in the family this Christmas!! They visited the portrait studio for our photo Christmas card event. Two adorable sisters from Warrenton Virginia were in the studio this week for some fun and creative portraits. When they arrived, I was thrilled to see them in their Kaiya Eve pettiskirts that they bought at our local children’s boutique in old town Warrenton, VA. Whether girlie girl or tom boy… ALL little girls love these pettiskirts and they are always fun to use in portraits! Oh, what a pretty “your child as {art}”™ gallery wrap canvas this would make!

Santa made an early visit to the Washington DC area this year. He stopped by the studio for some fun and creative baby Christmas portraits. Little baby “G” wasn’t exactly sure what to think. Even when she mustered up enough nerve to reach for her “first bell of Christmas” she never took her eyes off of Santa.
I remember when we celebrated my baby’s first Christmas (11 years ago)…. Oh the innocence and wonder………. Wow, time passes so quickly. So mom & dad, hope this image helps you preserve the memory of your baby’s Christmas for many years to come and always….

This little newborn baby’s daddy has many clients who are Washington Redskins football players. So mom commissioned us to get the “baby on the football” pose for Dad’s office. Dad was so patient and awesome with his little 5 day old baby in his hands. And, as you can see, Dad scored! What an adorable and precious little baby to work with.
