This newborn baby’s mom & dad commissioned us to create this image for a canvas to hang on a large wall behind their baby grand piano. Mom had noticed the artistic photography which is often featured on the top TV show Extreme Home Makeover and wanted a similar art piece of her baby boy. We were delighted to be able to fulfill her request and we cannot wait to see the canvas when it arrives in the studio!
I love this pose – it really captures the contrast of this tiny newborn in his daddy’s strong hands. Daddy’s are such an important part of a child’s life and I think this pose just speaks volumes, don’t you?

This dad from Ashburn Virginia and his best buds are huge soccer players and fans. So when dad & mom requested that we shoot some dad & baby portraits on his commemorative world cup soccer ball we were happy to oblige. For those of you not into soccer ( as was I ) Ronaldo de Assis Moreira is a Brazilian “footballer” who plays for Italian Serie A club Milan and the Brazil national team.
Ronaldo is commonly known as “Ronaldinho” ~ which is Portuguese for “Little Ronaldo”. He is widely regarded as one of the most gifted footballers of his generation. Well, it looks as if a new generation of soccer stars has been born and you could hardly get an earlier start than 7 days old.
So for mom & dad Donald, your soccer team, friends and fans, here’s a sneak peek of your little Donald or “Donaldinho” !
The second image is especially for the proud new mother… she desperately was hoping we could catch her new baby boy smiling and smile he did!
This newborns mom and dad from Bristow Virginia are New York Giants fans and they brought the cutest little hat and souvenier football so that we could create a fun portrait art piece of their lil’ fan! Isn’t he the cutest little NY Giants fan you have ever seen? What a sport he was…looks like he is contemplating the next play action!
This sweet family from South Riding, Virginia received their Christmas present about a week early – their newborn baby boy! How joyful for them! They were here just a couple days before Christmas for their newborn portrait session and this little man was such a sleepy little one to start out with…what a joy he was to play with! We created some awesome “your baby as {art}”™ portraits of this little one that I cannot wait to show to his proud parents. Below are two of my personal favorites.

This newborn boy’s mother and father traveled from Front Royal, Virginia for their newborn portrait session. I am sure they were plenty tired but what a beautiful time of year to drive through the Shenandoah mountains!
This little guy wins the prize for being the most alert infant I have had this year…he did not want to miss anything. The first image is exactly as he looked for the best part of his portrait session…he finally tuckered out and fell asleep for a mere 20 minutes ~ just long enough to create the second image of him. Mom brought the quilted blanket from home; which her mother made for her when she was a baby. I love heirlooms! This is a classic ”your baby as {art}”™ portrait!
I know mom and dad are pretty sleep deprived so lets brighten their day with some comments about their little blessing!
This little newborn baby’s daddy has many clients who are Washington Redskins football players. So mom commissioned us to get the “baby on the football” pose for Dad’s office. Dad was so patient and awesome with his little 5 day old baby in his hands. And, as you can see, Dad scored! What an adorable and precious little one to work with.

What an absolutely adorable baby boy! I am so lovin’ his beautiful head of hair. Little “R” was a wonderfully cooperative little subject too. I wish he could have stayed longer…I could have easily kept playing with him. Not only is his daddy a doctor but so are his grandparents…so, mom and dad brought along a miniature pair of scrubs for him to wear…OMGosh, talk about cute!

What a beautiful baby girl little Miss ”I” was! She was just a sweet heart! This Laurel, Maryland family is just the sweetest couple and are so very proud of their new baby girl ~ I can see why! This sweet family from Sterling, Virginia returned two weeks sooner than what they had planned…that’s because their sweet baby girl decided she was coming earlier than her doctors predicted! ;-) Her parents warned me that she was fiesty and she sure was but we still got some awesome images. Well, is this not the cutest little newborn baby boy you have ever seen?? Dad & Mom from Warrenton Virginia brought baby “D” into the studio today for his newborn portraits and they allowed me to endulge my creativity! At just 7 days old, this little guy was just the perfect size to rest on top of a football. Dad did such a great job of holding everything steady once Mom and I got baby situated – which took some doing! But this image is so worth the work…it truly is “your baby as art” ™.
