It’s so hard for me to believe that this little guy was a newborn baby the last time he was here! Back then he was small enough to fit perfectly on the top of our football but just look at him now! When this brand new Mom and Dad from Leesburg, Virgina sent me photographs of their “sea” themed nursery my mind wondered to warm, sunny days at the beach! So, we used this bucket from this newborn baby’s nursery, along with some OBX sand and a few gorgeous shells I have here at the studio and ~ voila! We came up with an over-the-top set for this sleepy little beach boy’s portraits! It won’t be long before he’ll be cruz’n the beaches carrying his bucket to collect all the best sea treasures!

I am so excited to have finally been able to use this adorable vintage doll pram that I have had for almost a year now! A friend of mine called me last Fall to say that her neighbor was getting rid of it and she immediatly thought of me ~ how cool is that?? Way!

Mom and dad were happy to have me try this out with their newborn girl. Dare I say, she slept like a baby? Honestly, she snoozed nearly the entire session! I sure hope she is doing a bit of that during the night time hours for her mommy & daddy!

Joy – What a gorgeous Mama! Lovely images!

Shardai – Beautiful mama I love the second pic. I was always conflicted about taking professional maternity pics because I’m a somewhat conservative person and I just wouldn’t be so bold as to take some of the pics I had seen when this phenomenon first appeared. The idea of showing my belly petrified me. But seeing these elegant mamas, especially this last one. I am definitely going to consider this for my second pregnancy.

Crystal – Where did you find the alphabet blocks? I am looking all over trying to find cute ones??

Dawn – Crystal ~ these were a gift to my son for his first birthday back in 1999 so I have absolutely no clue where to tell you they came from! Good luck searching for some similar ones!!

Susan Costa – Love your photographs. Is the green and white Damask backdrop fabroc or a backdrop. I love it.

Little Miss “G” has been here before and she always makes me work really, really hard for her smiles but I have to say they are soooo worth it! This dad from Ashburn Virginia and his best buds are huge soccer players and fans. So when dad & mom requested that we shoot some dad & baby portraits on his commemorative world cup soccer ball we were happy to oblige. For those of you not into soccer ( as was I ) Ronaldo de Assis Moreira is a Brazilian “footballer” who plays for Italian Serie A club Milan and the Brazil national team.

Ronaldo is commonly known as “Ronaldinho” ~ which is Portuguese for “Little Ronaldo”. He is widely regarded as one of the most gifted footballers of his generation. Well, it looks as if a new generation of soccer stars has been born and you could hardly get an earlier start than 7 days old.

So for mom & dad Donald, your soccer team, friends and fans, here’s a sneak peek of your little Donald or “Donaldinho” !

This week we had the sweetest couple from Ashburn Virginia come to the studio for a newborn baby session. Their new “Little Drummer Boy” was delightful to work with. Dad is a RUSH fan and as such, he brought along his snare drum for me to use as a special prop. I love it when clients share their ideas. The image below is the result and I think we’d all agree that this is the cutest little RUSH fan ever!
