This absolutely beautiful baby girlie was with us yesterday for her newborn session – however, she decided that she did NOT want to miss out on anything. So, she pretty much stayed wide awake for almost the entire session! I had to admit defeat and give her credit for outlasting me. As many of you know, I normally prevail in these situations but on this occasion – not so much!
So, her loving mommy is going drive back from Alexandria, Virginia again next week so we can create those dreamy, sleepy baby portraits that we all adore. In the mean time, the portrait below is the perfect representation of Miss J’s whole visit with us – big beautiful bright eyes and all! And look at her yummy baby cheeks…

This sweet baby girl came all the way from Fairfax Station Virginia for her first birthday portraits! She was not terribly thrilled to smash the cake but with a little encouragement, she ventured into the yummy icing. Ha, that’s a girl after my own heart!

Here’s a quick sneak peek for her mom, dad and two big brothers! Happy 1st Birthday Miss “O”!!

What an absolutely adorable baby boy! I am so lovin’ his beautiful head of hair. Little “R” was a wonderfully cooperative little subject too. I wish he could have stayed longer…I could have easily kept playing with him. Not only is his daddy a doctor but so are his grandparents…so, mom and dad brought along a miniature pair of scrubs for him to wear…OMGosh, talk about cute!
So, to the family of “R”, here are a couple sneak peeks of your darling and perfect little man. To my blog readers…be sure to leave some comments for this little one’s proud family!

This expecting mom & dad were here a few days ago from Alexandria, Virginia for their maternity portraits. They are such a sweet, sweet couple and I cannot wait to meet their little boy! He is destined to be a Green Bay Packers football fan if his dad has any say about it!
So, here are a couple sneak peeks of “your bump as { art }”™ and I just love them both! Hope you do too!!

What a precious little princess this infant girl was! She came into the world three weeks ago at just over 5 lbs. At her newborn portrait session this week she was still just under 6 lbs… but what a joy she was! She was so tiny that the cherry hat almost made her disappear.

Just before vacation I learned that this newborn princess surprised her mommy & daddy by coming a few weeks early… she wasn’t due until July 5th! Since I was headed out of town for a much needed vacation, we couldn’t get this darling into the studio for her newborn baby portraits until this week. But even at two weeks old, she still curled up perfectly for me. She made the cutest little faces too!
So… for her proud family and friends in the Lorton, Virginia area, here are a couple of sneak peeks of your baby as {art}™. Be sure and leave mom & dad some “blog love” in the comment section below…….. Enjoy!!

What a darling little baby boy Mr. “J” was ~ just 7 days old! He seemed to really enjoy his time snuggled up with his nursery friends! His mother and father from Fairfax, Virginia were just the sweetest couple…boy am I blessed with the nicest clients ever!
Be sure to leave some comments for this very proud first time mom and dad and their families!!!
Look at those precious little lips and button nose…heart melting!!

I had a little angel visit me on her 7th day for her newborn portrait session…really, an angel! This little baby slept for me nearly the entire time and when her little eyes were open…she hardly made a peep! I kept telling her mother and father who live in Springfield, Virginia that they are two very blessed parents. I see a LOT of newborns and this one wins the title of the “sleepiest” little angel.
I love, love, love the adorable hat that her mommy brought ~ she wore it well in this image!!! What a precious angel! Don’t forget to leave some blog love for this proud mom & dad.

This sweet, sweet couple from Fairfax, Virginia were in the studio this week for their pregnancy portrait art session and boy did we have fun! They love black and white photography so the first one is totally for them. But I love the rich warmth of the second image as it captures the beautiful connection and love between them.
Be sure to leave some blog love for this expecting couple…their little girlie will be here soon and I can’t wait to meet her!

This darling couple from Lorton, Virginia were in the studio Friday for their pregnancy portrait session. The expectant mom-to-be requested one of my signature bump poses; the pink tulle and gerber daisy. I asked her if she was open to trying something unique and fortunately for me, she was! I love the way it turned out and hopefully she will to! Another “your bump as { Art }”™ original.

This adorable couple from Springfield, Virginia were in the studio yesterday for their pregnancy portraits. They are at 36 weeks and counting down the days. I really loved the mother & child necklace that the expectant mom wore for her portraits. Come to find out, it was a gift from her hubby…how sweet is that?
