I am so far behind in my editing but I just had to share this beautiful baby bump from one of our creative pregnancy portrait sessions. Baby bumps are so beautiful towards the end of the pregnancy! The anticipation of the new little life that is about to emerge is just so exciting!

Oh goodness, we had such a fun time in the studio with all our “Go Team Go” sessions! With so many little fans I am a bit behind in editing but I wanted to post just a couple that are my favs so far. Redskins were the favorite team by far but we also had some young boys that wore their team gear from our local football club here in Warrenton, Virginia - the Falcons! Check them all out! Aren’t they just the cutest??

I am busy catching up on editing since being away on vacation but I just had to post a couple “sneak peeks” for the proud family of this darling newborn baby girl who came to the studio from Bealeton, Virginia for her newborn portraits this week.
Oh my goodness~look at this precious little angel and her beautiful mom! I had a hard time choosing which images to share!

The image below just melts my heart…little Miss “A” is in a family heirloom dress and bonnet. Her mom said this one was for grandma! I could not resist spending the extra time to apply our Fine Art technique to this particular picture…look how the details just come to life. This captured moment is “your baby as art” ™.

My family and I, as I am sure most of you did as well, celebrated the finish to our July 4th by watching fireworks. We took the kids to Great Meadows in The Plains, VA just north of Warrenton for their Famous Fourth celebration and as soon as we got there and unpacked our picnic dinner…it started to rain! And rain it did! The heavens opened up and it just poured!! There we sat, huddled under our SUV’s lift-gate and umbrellas eating KFC! Had it not been for the company of some great friends, I think we would have called it a day! But we made the best of the situation and I am so glad we did. After a couple hours, the rain ceased just in time for the best fireworks display.
So, here are a few of my photos of the awesome fireworks display…courtesy of Great Meadows, The Plains, Virginia…

How blessed I am to work with such precious little infants so fresh from God Himself! At just 11 days old, this precious little girl came to the studio from Bealeton, Virginia, to have her newborn photos taken. She was a pure joy to work with and I was reminded of just how “uniquely and wonderfully made” we truly are. So here are just a couple sneak peeks of my very favorite images from her recent newborn portrait session.

This past weekend was a lovely one! Saturday brought us temps in the 60′s and it was a welcome change. We had a special project we were working on for the studio…more on that to come in a few days!
I am always excited to see the first of the Spring flowers pop their little heads up and this weekend brought us our first cheery little ones…I guess we were not the only ones appreciative of the warmer weather! Stay tuned for more exciting studio news!

Beth – This shot is so calming and “warm”. I can almost feel the sun on my face and the scent of flowers in the air. I just LOVE spring!! Thanks for letting me know it’s just around the corner!! WOOHOO!
Well, most of you will already be aware of this fact…I am so not a morning person! This is mainly because I tend to work in the studio late into the night. Having said that, I must get up and get the kids dressed, packed, fed and off to school each morning. And for this I am thankful because if not for my children, I would have missed this beautiful sunrise yesterday morning! As soon as I saw the “glow” in my foyer, I ran to grab my camera. Even though I was still half asleep, I did manage to snap a few frames before it disappeared. The colors were intense and I was blessed to have witnessed it!

Oh how sweet newborn babies are! Just look at this beautiful little girl from Marshall, Virginia just 5 weeks fresh! She was very alert for most of her session and the way she talked when her momma held her close was just so precious. Here are a couple portraits for mom and dad to see and share…
