This session was so different to our early newborn sessions. Mary and I had so much fun “playing” with this sweet baby girlie from Bethesda Maryland. She was full of heart-melting smiles and just an all around happy, bubbly four month old baby. This little gal’s daddy was unable to come to the investment session so we thought he and other family members would enjoy seeing a little slideshow of mom’s favorite images! Enjoy!!!

We had the absolute pleasure of this delightful baby girl’s company last week! Her mom made the drive all the way from Bethesda, Maryland to have her daughter’s first official portrait art session. What a honor for me!
Truth be told, it was so hard to put the camera down with all the adorable smiles this little princess was sharing. All that smiling must have worn her out so when she fell asleep, we took advantage of it and created a few more “newborn-like” poses. We enjoyed every moment with this delightful little sweetie. I know mom and dad are waiting for this sneak peek so without further ado, here is your precious little girl…

There is something about dad and baby portraits that touch my heart in a special way. Part of it must be the contrast between the delicate features of a fresh newborn baby and their daddy’s big strong hands. This dad was so into his new little man – it was beautiful to watch. Getting this football image set up takes a LOT of patience, particularly on the part of the dad and this one deserves kuddos for a job well done!

Beth – Wow! That turned out wonderful!!
Like most photographers, I get an itch from time to time to try something different. I’ve had these maternity poses in my mind for some time now & I’ve been waiting for someone willing to indulge my creative juices. This lovely lady gave me free reign… and she totally rocked the “windy mama” pose! On top of that, doesn’t she just “glow” in the pink maternity wrap?
The pregnant body is such a beautiful thing to behold and be proud of. You are carrying the gift of life – what a awesome experience you have been given as a new mom. This little guy from the Rockville Maryland area was in last week and was Mr. Smiley for all of about 40 minutes at which time he decided the session was over – lol! He just was not in the mood so mom and grandma brought him back this past week. This time, he was totally “on”. His other grandma calls him “Dude” and says he smiles when she does, so you know I had to try it and believe it or not, it did get his attention! Too cute!

A moment captured in time…a tender moment…a brief moment…a bittersweet memory that will last in this couple’s hearts forever. Shortly after the creation of this image, their sweet baby boy slipped from this world into the arms of Jesus. For reasons his sweet parents will never understand, he was called home.
Their loss touched all of us here at the studio deeply and we continue to pray for them. So, at the request of his parents, I share this in memory of little Micah Aiden. You can tell he was loved so very deeply…
