Like most photographers, I get an itch from time to time to try something different. I’ve had these maternity poses in my mind for some time now & I’ve been waiting for someone willing to indulge my creative juices. This lovely lady gave me free reign… and she totally rocked the “windy mama” pose! On top of that, doesn’t she just “glow” in the pink maternity wrap?
The pregnant body is such a beautiful thing to behold and be proud of. You are carrying the gift of life – what a awesome experience you have been given as a new mom. Many of our clients have been trying for years to become pregnant and we are so honored when they allow us to help them celebrate their pregnancy with maternity portrait art for their home.

Thinking about maternity pictures? Our studio in the Washington DC metro area specializes in chic maternity portraits that are elegant yet modest & sometimes even a little ”windy.” Just imagine… your bump as {art}™ !

I normally share two sneak peeks and since I only had time last week for one of these precious newborn twins, I wanted to share another one for their mother, father and extended family! There are so many cute ones it was hard to pick but this one has to be one of the cutest!

I love, love, love photographing these two sisters! They are both so photogenic and love each other so much. This is just one sneak peek for their parents before I start designing their custom Christmas cards.
Be sure to leave the girlsies some blog love…you know at this age they love to hear nice comments!!

This very active, almost one year old baby girl visited the studio last week and boy did she keep me and her momma on our toes! She ended up wearing her own self out and after a little bit of cuddling, she fell asleep. Now, I normally do not get a chance to “play” with a baby this old who is sleeping but when the opportunity arose, I jumped on it. I just adore this image below…totally! She didn’t stay this way very long but just long enough to capture some precious moments for her mom.
Mom wants a Gina Alexander ”my everything” photo bag. This “your baby as {art}”™ image would be beautiful for one of these luxurious, upscale bags. Many styles of unique one-of -a-kind photo handbags are available in the boutique section at Dandelion Wishes® Photography and make the best gifts. They are awesome to tote around all the things that mommies need to have on hand.
Be sure to leave some comments for this precious little cherub’s parents and family!

What a fun time I had with this precious little girl and her mom yesterday! She is turning one next week and mom wanted to be sure to have portraits of this special event. Little Miss “I” was such a happy little girlie! She has the most amazing dark brown eyes as you can see in the first image. Her little lashes are just to die for!!
The adorable dress was purchased at a wonderful baby and children’s boutique right here in Warrenton! They have such a mix of wonderful things for children ~ from birth on up! If you have not visited Old Town Warrenton lately you simply must check it out.
Here is a sneak peek of Miss “I” for her adoring family…as always we love to have any and everybody leave some blog love for this precious one year old girl!

I am busy, busy, busy working on client sessions today and thought I’d share one of my favorite images from a recent newborn portrait session. This is one of my favortie “miracle shots” so far. I have done it for two of my clients and they both turned out awesome! The other client brought the same fresh flowers she used in her wedding (blue hydrangeas~ one of my favorites!) to be incorporated into the setting and it turned out beautiful too. I just love little newborn tooshies in the air! Can’t you just imagine this as a ”your baby as { Art }”™ gallery wrap canvas hanging in the nursery? Oh my!

It’s Christmas Eve! Hopefully by now all of your shopping is done and you are finishing up those last minute details. Personally, I am still trying to get some baking and wrapping done and still a little bit of decorating that my kids really enjoy! I’ll get there!
My daughter has asked me this question several times over the last week; “Mom, what do you really want for Christmas?” Without hesitation, I have replied each time, “PEACE.” Not being satisfied with this answer, she wants to know what tangible thing I want but I keep assuring her that all I really want is “PEACE”.
Now, my daughter loves to make little beaded necklaces and bracelets and so I asked her to make me one that said PEACE on it, for Christmas. She did and of course I think it turned out lovely. In addition, my son made a little tissue paper covered candle holder made out of a baby food jar. What better is there than to receive to hand made gifts by your children?
So, to all my dear friends and clients…I pray for PEACE to be in your family this Christmas season. God’s PEACE. For it is only His PEACE that brings calm in a storm or comfort to those who are mourning the absence of a loved one. I pray for PEACE to all the families who are struggling to make ends meet or who need jobs. I pray for PEACE for all our military families. I pray for all the children who will not have any gifts under the tree this year…may God send them His PEACE to assure them that He loves them and that they have received the best gift they could ever receive…the baby in the manger, Jesus our Savior.
In closing, may God bless your homes with His PEACE and may you open your hearts more than ever to celebrate the birth of our Savior! Merry Christmas to all!
If you would like to attend a Christmas Eve service but either do not have a church you regularly attend or yours is not having a service tonight, I invite you to join me at Manassas Assembly of God at 6 p.m. This is always a lovely way to help me refocus on what the Christmas celebration is all about. Come early as it is a popular service. You can visit their website for directions or more details by clicking here.
