Undoubtedly, newborns are one of Dawn's favorite subjects to photograph. From their tiny fingers and toes to their tender little lips ~ these are the sweet details that she preserves through her unique newborn portraits. As a photographer, Dawn is sought after for her ability to delicately and artistically capture the very essence of a newborn baby. Her patience and experience in posing freshly-born babies, as well as her focus on baby's safety, is what sets her apart from other photographers.
Having a baby is one of life's greatest events. Dawn encourages new parents to thoughtfully and thoroughly research their choice in a newborn photographer as there is no time for a "do over" if the resulting portraits are not as expected. Because Dandelion Wishes® specializes in newborn photography, almost exclusively, you are guaranteed portraits that will take your breath away. Newborn twins and multiples are a special blessing to their parents. Creating portrait art of these very special newborns is a joy and delight for Dawn. Twins, triplets and multiples should be photographed within the same time frame unless they are premies. Premature multiples can be photographed a little older than 14 days. Even still, it is important to have your session as early as possible after their births. If you are expecting twins or multiples, please contact the studio early so that we can be planning for their arrival.
Expectant mothers are encouraged to contact the photo studio during their first or second trimester to ensure session availability. Scheduling your newborn session within the first 5-14 days of your baby's life is the key to achieving images that capture that womb-like “curl” that disappears so quickly. As you are viewing our “New Ones I & II” galleries, keep in mind that the babies featured there are under 2 weeks old. Infants that are older than two weeks can most certainly still be photographed but they will have a slightly different look than those that are under 2 weeks old.
Newborn sessions are tentatively scheduled based upon your baby's due date. A firm date will be scheduled a few days prior to the expected delivery. Although Dawn's calendar fills up quickly, she makes every effort to give newborn photography sessions top priority.
